Our solutions are used to drive efficiencies by leading UK water companies, as well as utilities in the US, Australia and New Zealand. Last year alone, VAPAR's AI technology has powered asset health investments on over 2 million metres of pipe in United Kingdom, United States Australia and New Zealand and continues to scale globally through partnerships with Autodesk and Microsoft. Position Overview The UK Commercial Director is a senior-level position responsible for driving sales & marketing strategy, fostering client relationships, and overseeing VAPAR's market presence in the UK. This position requires a leader who can drive revenue growth, establish and execute sales strategies, increase brand recognition and serve as a key point of contact for both clients and stakeholders in the UK. As the company leader in the UK, you will also represent VAPAR within the region, advocating for our solutions, leading the UK team, and ensuring alignment with global objectives. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development (60%) Develop and Execute Sales Strategies - Create and implement effective sales & marketing strategies to drive revenue growth across VAPAR’s UK client base, focusing on wastewater and drainage network solutions. Client Relationship Management - Build, maintain, and expand relationships with key stakeholders at existing and prospective clients, ensuring VAPAR’s solutions are effectively positioned and aligned with client needs. Revenue Accountability - Own and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring timely progression through the sales funnel to meet or exceed revenue targets. Partner Management - Own and manage the in-territory partner relationships, ensuring proactive relationship management and progression through the joint sales opportunities to meet or exceed revenue targets. Identify Market Opportunities - Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, potential partnerships, and growth areas within the UK’s water and wastewater sectors. Country Leadership (20%) Regional Leadership - Represent VAPAR as the UK Country Lead, ensuring that regional operations are in alignment with global strategy and growth targets. Team Development and Management - Oversee the UK team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to ensure high performance and engagement. Industry & Client Advocacy - Serve as the primary liaison between UK clients and VAPAR’s leadership team, ensuring that regional client feedback, needs, and insights are communicated effectively. Regulatory Awareness - Stay informed about industry regulations and standards, ensuring VAPAR’s solutions and practices are compliant and competitive within the UK market. Strategic Planning & Reporting (20%) Contribute to Company Strategy - Work closely with the CEO and executive team to shape VAPAR’s UK strategy and contribute to broader company goals. Forecasting and Reporting - Prepare and present monthly and quarterly sales and operational reports, providing insights into the UK market, client developments, and progress against targets. Risk Management - Identify potential risks in the UK market and create mitigation strategies to ensure stability and resilience in revenue streams. Qualifications & Skills Experience - Minimum 7-10 years in a senior sales or business development role within the infrastructure, utilities, or water/wastewater industry, with a proven track record in managing high-value clients and achieving sales targets. Leadership - Demonstrated experience in a leadership position, preferably with responsibility for team development and regional market growth. Market/Industry Knowledge - Deep understanding of the UK’s water and wastewater sector, including key players, regulatory landscape, and market dynamics. Marketing, Sales and Customer Success Skills - Proven ability to develop sales strategies, manage client relationships, negotiate deals, and close sales in a B2B environment. Strategic Thinking - Ability to align regional activities with global objectives, identifying opportunities to enhance VAPAR’s market positioning and long-term growth. Communication/Collaboration - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Adaptability - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and pivot as needed. Additional Requirements Location - UK-based with flexibility to travel domestically for client and team meetings up to 20% of the month.
