The Opportunity
As an embedded software engineer you will:
1. Design and implement efficient real-time systems
2. Understand and apply new and emerging technologies
3. Work on diverse projects spanning a range of domains including Array Processing, Communications and Sensors
Skills
Ideally you will have:
4. Expertise in C and/or C++ for embedded development
5. Experience of unit and system testing
6. Expertise in embedded Linux platform development
7. Experience of modern DevOps practices, including version control and continuous integration
8. Knowledge of latest System on Chip (SoC) devices
It would be useful, but not essential, to have:
9. Expertise in development and implementation of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms
10. Experience of modelling/simulating algorithms using MATLAB
11. Expertise in FPGA firmware development using VHDL
12. Knowledge of latest open source frameworks OpenCPI
13. Knowledge of latest Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms
It would also be desirable to have an awareness of:
14. Electronic warfare
15. RF design
