What we can offer you; Eligible for an annual performance bonus 25 days of annual leave Access to our company pension scheme One paid days leave every year to volunteer and support your community Ongoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential What you'll be doing; Manage 10 employees and the daily operations of the Rochester Transfer Station, ensuring the site operates safely and efficiently. Control the movement of materials in and out of the transfer station. Ensure the site has competent operational staff who feel empowered and motivated. Ensure material is dispatched as per waste flow requirements. Build relationships with customers and colleagues, including the wider Veolia Municipal team. Build a partnership with local council members. Ensure staff are fully trained and identify areas of training needed. Maximise and utilise the fixed and mobile plant on site. Ensure any defects or damages are reported. Act as a deputy for the Contract Manager during annual leave or other absences. Assist the contact Manager with the annual budget and forecasting. What we're looking for; Experience of people management. Health and Safety Knowledge and experience. Environmental Knowledge and experience. COTC (Certificate of Technical Competence) Transfer Hazardous. Experience within the waste management industry is desirable. IOSH is desirable. What's next?
