Job Purpose:
Based onsite at our Hemel Hempstead R&D site 3-4 days a week, you will support the Configuration Management Specialist in ensuring engineering changes comply with quality, cost, and performance objectives. Assist in providing Configuration Management (CM) support to project and functional stakeholders within Mechanical & Electronic engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:
* Organise, chair, and document Change Control Board (CCB) meetings.
* Coordinate change management activities impacting configuration items.
* Ensure data quality and reliability in configuration management systems.
* Define and document CM processes and implement improvements.
* Gather CM requirements from product development, operations, and service teams.
* Maintain configuration data for multiple products from concept to end-of-life.
* Conduct configuration audits to ensure accuracy of data.
* Support the engineering change process, ensuring timely and accurate updates to 3D CAD models using SOLIDWORKS.
* Comply with the company’s Product Lifecycle Process (PLP) and relevant standards.
* Provide guidance to teams on CM activities and procedures.
Technical Skills Required:
* Education: Bachelor's Degree / HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
* Software: Proficiency in 3D CAD tools, particularly SOLIDWORKS; experience with Product Data Management (PDM) systems (SolidWorks Manage / PDM is advantageous).
* Database Knowledge: Familiarity with Microsoft SQL is advantageous.
* Experience: Expertise in configuration and technical data management.
* Standards: Knowledge of Military and ISO standards (e.g., DEF STAN 05-057, ISO 10007) is beneficial.
* Process Knowledge: Awareness of gated engineering design processes, including concept design, prototyping, test and evaluation, and production.
* ERP Knowledge: Familiarity with business tools like ERP systems is advantageous.
