We have a fantastic opportunity for the Health & Safety Management System Manager to join our Site Health, Safety and Wellbeing team at Sizewell C. Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively. The Role In this role will have a direct report to the Head of HS&W and be responsible for assurance, incident investigation management, H&S Management system, HS&W Performance reporting, innovation, HSW digitisation and the development of the Health, Safety & Wellbeing team. You’ll influence the performance of health and safety professionals within the project supply chain. You’ll manage the implementation of the whole lifecycle HSW on the project through pre-construction, construction delivery and commissioning. Support numerous multidisciplinary construction delivery teams, driving performance across several contractors and design teams. You'll be experinced in using software/systems/tools or methodologies such as PowerBi, Insight, Fieldview, ALL MS365 Key Responsibilities Own and manage the SZC health and safety management system, working with the SZC HS&W Leadership team, the SZC Delivery leadership team and the extended supply chain. Consult as required with legal and regulatory bodies, managing accreditation, membership audits, and awarding bodies. Champion and support the H&S Culture Programme, help to develop and maintain the course delivery approach and content. Connect with all members of the SLT and HSW Team, and maintain/ develop exceptional relationships. You’ll engage with all Trade Partners and Alliance Partners (Tier 1s etc) to create an inclusive culture in HSMS Management. Ensure innovation, research, and adoption of cutting edge, market leading products, technologies, methods, and services are regularly promoted, captured, and shared to support the delivery of HS&W. Support the project leadership team in setting HS&W maturity goals, tracking progress, and report performance. Provide assurance to the Client organisation that the Principal Contractor and associated contractors are complying with their requirements under Construction (Design & Management) (CDM) Regulations 2015. The Skills Experience working in a major infrastructure project role in the UK, with relevant experience in working as part of a senior H&S leadership team. Experienced in usuing software/systems/tools or methodologies such as:PowerBi, Insight, Fieldview, ALL MS365. Strong experience in H&S Management System implementation, Visualisation, Digitalisation and presentation skills. Knowledge of national and international H&S standards. Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks both internally and externally. Results focus tempered with team centered approach. Skilled at interfacing and operating in a large corporate environment Desirable Knowledge of ONR Licence Conditions and challenges of construction in the Nuclear Sector Essential Qualifications & Experience: HS&W experience including experience within a large project environment. Level 6 Qualified or equivalent. Proven track record of achieving excellent health & safety results. Experience of large organisational, process plant and site operations.
