Job Description
* Leading financial planning, budgeting, and long-term strategy for the Trust.
* Ensuring compliance with the Academy Trust Handbook and financial regulations.
* Providing strategic insight to senior leaders, Trustees, and stakeholders.
* Managing multi-million-pound budgets with robust financial governance.
* Overseeing HR, IT, facilities, and risk management to drive operational efficiency.
* Leading and developing high-performing teams across finance and operations.
* Ensuring the Trust maximises funding opportunities and income generation.
* Implementing strong internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
* Driving continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting.
The Successful Applicant
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Proven experience in senior financial leadership, ideally in education or the public sector.
* Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
* Experience managing multi-million-pound budgets and financial reporting.
* Leadership experience with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
* Commercial acumen with a strategic mindset to drive financial sustainability.
* Ability to oversee HR, IT, and facilities while ensuring operational efficiency.
* A proactive, solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
