Job overview
To manage the Gynaecology service sitting within the Women’s and Children’s Health Division.
To ensure the delivery of high quality, clinically effective patient-focused services whilst achieving access (waiting time), activity, financial and quality targets.
Main duties of the job
1. Overall responsibility for the Gynaecology service including the development of efficient and effective systems, policies and procedures.
2. Responsible for the management of waiting lists in line with national and local policy and guidance ensuring that access targets are achieved.
3. Responsible for the delivery of activity to achieve Service Level Agreements and associated income targets.
4. Ensure compliance with national guidelines and statutory regulations covering all aspects of services within the Specialities.
5. Support the Clinical Director, Divisional Operations Director and Divisional Director for Midwifery and Nursing in all aspects of the Division’s management as a full member of the Divisional Management Team as required.
