Job Description
We are currently seeking a Transport Administrator to join our Transport team at our Gadbrook park site (Northwich).
As Transport Administrator you will be responsible for the daily creation of customer consignments, ensuring accuracy of information at all times.
Reconciliation of consignment costs against daily schedules from customer to ensure accurate charging and invoicing at week and period end.
Working hours are – 4 on 4 off Days– 6am to 6pm.
Salary on offer – £25,000
Location– Gadbrook Park (Northwich)
As the successful candidate, you will contribute to the overall success of the site, and will report directly to the sites Planning Team Leader.
Job responsibilities of Transport Admin include:
1. Create and check all daily customer consignments on the in-house AS400 system (GTS) generally via EDI Import, liaising directly with customer where relevant
2. Ensure all consignments are correctly administrated, rated and ready to invoice obtaining rates for any new delivery points from ESL (Eddie Stobart Logistics) Finance and Reporting Team where necessary
3. Amend consignment details where required, communicating all changes to relevant parties i.e. ESL Planning teams, Tesco on-site teams etc.
4. Create dummy consignments on GTS to aid ESL Planning teams and Operations department regarding driver manning levels
5. Produce reports (KPI and other) for the customer and ESL, utilising Microsoft Excel. These include Volume, Dummy Jobs and Performance Reports
6. Reconcile work on ESL’s GTS system against schedules provided by customer, for individual Tesco depots, to ensure accurate charging and invoicing to customer at week and period end
7. Liaise with Transport Managers and other on-site team members to ensure data being presented to the customer is accurate
8. Assist Admin Team Leader and Data Analyst in providing daily/weekly information required by customer regarding performance, costs etc. where required
9. Provide Tesco on-site teams with up to date information regarding new Tesco stores including Risk Assessments, rates and GTS Location code information
10. Provide general administrative support to the Admin Team Leader and Admin team and any other tasks as required.
11. Escalate issues to the Admin Team Leader where unable to resolve
12. Complete the daily Irish conference calls to agree on the type and amount of trailers required
13. Managing Isotrak compliance to make sure all loads from the depot are tracking, and liaising with the planning team/team leader to make sure all drivers and jobs errors are cleared
14. Liaise with the warehouse to make sure we have the correct trailers available to supply demand from the warehouse
15. Complete a daily yard check to comply with the safe and legal check, raising any defects to the relevant people
16. Keep up to date with news items, vacancies and process updates as detailed on ESL Intranet system
Qualifications
As Transport Admin you will possess the following skill, experiences and qualifications:
17. Produce customer and ESL KPI’s within agreed timescales.
18. All work to be rated and charged accurately to customer weekly and monthly.
19. 100% accuracy in creation of customer consignments on GTS
20. Very good level of numeracy, accuracy and literacy
21. Excellent communication skills
22. High levels of flexibility, commitment and motivation
23. Able to use own initiative
24. Capable of meeting specific deadlines
25. Able to cope well in pressured situations
26. Capable of operating with limited supervision within fixed guidelines
27. Team Orientated
