The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Campus Operations to join our team. The successful candidate will provide effective leadership to our student support teams, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of administrative processes. Key responsibilities include overseeing student attendance monitoring, student finance, and withdrawal processes, as well as managing I.T. facilities and providing operational academic oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage student support teams to ensure efficient administrative processes.
* Oversee the implementation of processes including student attendance monitoring, student finance, and withdrawal processes.
* Manage I.T. facilities to ensure they meet the needs of staff and students.
* Provide operational academic oversight to support the delivery of educational programs.
* Lead, motivate, and develop the Student Support Teams, encouraging behaviours that reflect the college values.
* Effectively manage direct reports, including performance management, annual performance and development reviews, and identifying training and development needs.
* Lead the attendance and engagement processes, working with mentors, academics, and the wider team to ensure timely interventions for students at risk and compliance with B3 requirements.
* Set and monitor service standards, fostering an environment of continual improvement across the team.
* Provide strategic support and input to the Deputy MD and the wider senior team to ensure the service meets the requirements and needs of the business.
* Produce and report on management information in a timely manner to inform strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications and skills:
* Proven leadership experience in a similar role.
* Strong understanding of administrative processes in an educational setting.
* Experience working in a college, university, or higher education setting.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
* Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
* Degree-level education: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, ideally in education, business management, social sciences, or a related field.
* Professional development: Evidence of continued professional development in areas related to student support, leadership, or higher education management, such as management certifications, training in student wellbeing or mental health, or operations management.
* Knowledge of student welfare legislation: A good understanding of student welfare, safeguarding, and equality and diversity policies relevant to student services.
Additional Information:
* This role includes working on Saturdays, with a day off during the week, including Sunday.
* One work-from-home (WFH) day per week is also included.
