Supply Chain Management and Customs Specialist
We are recruiting for a Supply Chain Management and Customs Specialist to join our Tamworth based client.
Reporting to the SCM Team Manager, your role will be to work with the Supply Chain Management team and to manage Customs and Customs analysis. Also partially to work for Transportation requirements, and various other key roles to assist in the smooth running of warehouse processes.
As a SCM and Customs Specialist, you will need to have/be:
Excellent communication and coordination, with both internal and external stakeholders.
IT literacy particularly with Microsoft Office packages.
Data analysis and reporting.
Warehouse logistics IT system handling.
Understanding of Supply Chain Principles.
Strong organisation and time management skills.
Takes a 'hands-on' approach with self-starting ability and proactive nature.
Ability to work as part of a team.Details:
Salary: £31, 000 - £32, 000 + £1, 610 lunch allowance (in addition to basic salary)
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm

Duration: PermanentRole of SCM and Customs Specialist:
Analysis of Customs costs incurred, with focus on identifying any duty and tax savings.
Customs compliance checking.
Follow up on HMRC communication and update the customs related regulations.
Regular customs process review and improving the daily process.
Coordination with customs agent.
Day to day customs clearance follow up.
Working closely with Logistics Finance to support in the reconciliation and processing of invoices.
Tracking and reporting of all Logistics related costs to the Senior Management Team
Inbound Container Scheduling.
Supporting Warehouse Team with preparing all dispatch paperwork.
Arranging transport for warehouse orders requiring dispatch.
Involvement in ad-hoc business projects requiring input from Logistics Team.Benefits of working as a SCM and Customs Specialist:
