We are looking for a motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to oversee and grow our operations in the Midlands region. This is an exciting opportunity to lead sales efforts, build relationships, and drive business growth within the hydraulic sector.
Our client is a leading provider of hydraulic services, specializing in the supply and maintenance across various industries such as construction, manufacturing, agriculture, and transportation.
Responsibilities:
1. Regional Sales Management: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve regional targets, driving growth and profitability.
2. New Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, cultivate relationships with potential customers, and maintain a proactive approach to expanding market share.
3. Account Management: Manage a portfolio of smaller accounts, ensuring excellent customer service. Build strong, lasting relationships and identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling additional products or services.
4. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of sales representatives. Provide guidance, training, and coaching to ensure individual and team success. Inspire the team to meet or exceed sales goals.
5. Sales Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular sales reports, offering insights into market trends, customer feedback, and business opportunities. Use data analysis to identify areas for improvement and potential growth.
6. Sales Training: Develop and deliver sales training programs to enhance the skills and product knowledge of the sales team. Keep the team updated on industry trends and best practices.
7. Franchisee Liaison: Work closely with Franchisees to develop and execute accountable sales plans for both the Regional Account Manager and local service centres.
Requirements and Experience:
1. Experience:
• Proven experience in a Regional Account Manager or Sales Manager role, preferably within the industrial, manufacturing, or hydraulic sectors.
• Experience managing both new business development and account management, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
• Previous experience leading a sales team, with demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills.
2. Skills:
• Strong sales acumen, with the ability to identify opportunities, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with internal teams, customers, and franchisees.
• Proficient in sales reporting and analysis, with strong data interpretation abilities to drive business decisions.
• Organizational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple accounts and sales strategies.
3. Qualifications:
• A degree in Business, Sales, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
• Full UK driving license required due to the travel involved in the role.
