Project Manager - Landscape Construction

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to oversee and deliver landscape construction projects to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in both soft and hard landscaping, along with strong leadership and organizational skills to manage a diverse portfolio of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage all phases of landscape construction projects, from initial planning to completion.
2. Coordinate effectively with clients, designers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements and timelines are met.
3. Oversee day-to-day site operations, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
4. Control budgets, schedules, and resource allocation, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
5. Maintain rigorous quality standards in both soft and hard landscaping works.
Additional Responsibilities:
Health & Safety (H&S):
1. Oversee the creation and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), ensuring compliance with safety standards.
2. Participate in monthly H&S reviews and ensure regular updates of safety practices.
3. Manage accident reporting, PPE enforcement, and preparation of H&S documentation, including comprehensive weekly updates.
Time Management:
1. Update and manage the project programme, ensuring subcontractor coordination and timely delivery of materials.
2. Provide weekly progress reports and ensure adherence to project schedules.
Quality Assurance:
1. Monitor construction progress and ensure all work meets the highest quality standards.
2. Conduct snagging inspections and manage handover documentation, including practical completion certificates.
Communications:
1. Act as the main point of contact for RFIs and ensure effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
2. Attend client meetings and provide updates during Daily Briefing Sessions (DABS).
Commercial & Logistics:
1. Support the commercial team with monthly valuations and variation tracking.
2. Manage deliveries, inspect high-risk items, and ensure compliance with site requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Demonstrable experience in project management within the landscape construction sector.
2. In-depth knowledge of soft and hard landscaping techniques and practices.
3. Proven ability to lead and motivate teams on-site and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
4. Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
5. Qualifications in landscape architecture, construction management, or related fields are an advantage but not essential.
