Job Opportunity: Registered Manager for Children’s Home in Harlow, Essex
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager or an Assistant Manager ready to take the next step in their career as the Registered Manager of our 3-bed Children’s Home in Harlow, Essex.
Era Care Ltd provides residential care for children aged 11-18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties. As the Registered Manager, you will lead, manage, and ensure the home operates in compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards, alongside company policies and procedures.
Job Type / Category
This is a full-time, permanent role (40 hours per week). Working hours are Monday-Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, with participation in a rotational out-of-hours on-call service.
Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications
* At least 2 years of experience working with children in a residential setting within the last 5 years, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
* A passion for improving outcomes for vulnerable young people, with experience in supervising staff, managing budgets, and completing detailed reports.
* Thorough knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, the Children’s Act 1989, and other relevant legislation and guidance to ensure the home operates at a Good/Outstanding Ofsted rating.
* Hold or be willing to work towards the QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* A full UK manual driving licence.
* Motivated, flexible, with a strong sense of responsibility.
