Business?Support?Officer?(SENDAR) - Grade E Permanent 25 hours per week About Us and the Role We have a Business Support Officer role available supporting our team within Education Services. This is a part-time position, supporting the casework/administration of the Special Educational Needs Disability Assessment and Review Service (SENDAR). Based in Warwick but hybrid working. We deliver high quality, professional business support to teams across Education Services. This role may also need to support other teams across Send and Inclusion, and other teams as necessary across the Business Support Service. SENDAR (Special Educational Needs Disability Assessment and Review) is the Local Authority service that manages, monitors and reviews the Statutory Special Educational Needs processes for Warwickshire in accordance with the SEN (Special Educational Needs) Code of Practice. The teams in Education Services are strong, dynamic, and supportive, dedicated to putting the child/young person and their family at the heart of the activity. As part of the Business Support Service, you will work to provide effective, flexible, and responsive business support to one of the Council’s services, with the ability to support other teams, as necessary. We are looking for someone who can work in a busy environment where deadlines are crucial, you need to have excellent organisation and time management skills along with the experience of using a variety of windows-based computer systems e.g. word, excel and management information databases. Good attention to detail and producing work to a high standard is required, as is the ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements. The service areas that we support work with key teams within the Local Authority as well as educational settings (head teachers/special needs coordinators), professionals, other Local Authorities, and external agencies. As a Business Support Officer, you will be key to the effective communication in the SENDAR team with our children, young people and their families. You will provide casework and/or administrative support with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. You should be a good communicator who is self-motivated, and solution focused with the ability to liaise and communicate in person/and or in writing a variety of information, including dealing with anxious/apprehensive customers in a sensitive manner.
