Job Description: Electrical Contracts Manager
Location: Cambridgeshire Sector: Commercial/Education and Custodial Projects
The Role: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of electrical projects within the education and custodial sectors. Based out of our Cambridge office, you will manage contracts from initial concept through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the planning, execution, and handover of electrical projects in the education and custodial sectors.
* Collaborate with clients, design teams, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and effective project delivery.
* Manage budgets, cost control, and procurement to optimize project outcomes.
* Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
* Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain project schedules and quality benchmarks.
* Monitor and report on project progress, addressing risks and resolving issues proactively.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including BS7671 and CDM requirements.
* Support and mentor site teams to uphold project standards and values.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience as an Electrical Contracts Manager within the education and custodial sectors.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, contracts management, and project lifecycle processes.
* Excellent understanding of compliance and industry standards, including HSE regulations.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
* Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in project management tools and software.
* Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (e.g., HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3).
* Full UK driving license.
