School Appeals Clerk in West Midlands, start date in March

Due to the partnership between Hays and Sandwell Council, we are seeking an experienced Schools Appeals Clerk on a full-time, temporary basis.
Your new role
As a School Appeals Clerk, you will support the Governance Services Officer (School Appeals) in the development, implementation, and operation of processes within the team to ensure the delivery of matters within agreed timescales and legal deadlines and to maximize the use of available resources. You will support the Council's decision-making framework and encourage participation in decision-making. Your responsibilities include organizing, administering, and clerking school appeals hearings. This is a busy area, and typically the team receives an average of 400 appeals. This is a full-time, hybrid working position that will be based in Oldbury when working in the office.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate should have experience within a similar role or from a Democratic Services background and be able to demonstrate key skills, such as time management, the ability to work to strict deadlines, and the capacity to work under pressure.
