Job Title: Part-Time Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Bedford (MK42)
Rate: £100 - £120 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Potential long-term to permanent opportunity
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in Bedford, working with learners aged 3 to 19 years who have physical, medical conditions, and learning difficulties. This is a part-time role offering a competitive daily rate, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support for learners with diverse needs
2. Assist in managing challenging behaviours and supporting with personal care where necessary
3. Implement strategies to support communication, including using BSL, Makaton, or Widgit (desirable)
4. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Key Requirements:
1. Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
2. Confidence in supporting learners with a variety of challenges
3. Strong understanding of behaviour management
4. Knowledge of communication strategies such as BSL, Makaton, or PCS Symbols (desirable)
