Job Description:
The Director of Strategy, Insight and Member Engagement is a key leadership role available as a one-year secondment. The successful candidate will oversee the member engagement, strategy and insight, events and CEO office teams alongside line management responsibility for Head of Strategy and Insight, Acting Deputy Director Events and Member Engagement and Senior Executive Assistant. The Director will take forward the leadership of the implementation phase of UUK’s Transformation and Efficiency Taskforce.

Minimum Requirements:
1. Substantial experience at a senior level.
2. Experience in leading multiple programmes with a range of stakeholders, including at senior levels.
3. Experience of working in or with higher education, in a strategy, policy leadership or analytical capacity.
4. Substantial experience of leading strategy development and implementation, and delivery of defined outputs and outcomes in a complex external environment.
5. Substantial experience of leading teams and managing staff, demonstrating the ability to develop and motivate high performing teams to achieve shared organisational goals.
6. Experience at a senior level of enabling cross-organisational working.
7. Experience of collaborating with senior leaders and stakeholders.
8. Finance and budgetary skills with demonstrable experience of planning resources to meet operational priorities and requirements, and seeking cost effective methods of working.
