RESPONSIBILITIES Deal with day-to-day problems with computers, telephones and other systems management issues through liaison with the IT Helpdesk, software providers and others. Support staff in their IT set-up and induction, and provide ongoing training and support as required. Provide expertise and training on clinical systems and patient services. Where knowledge of systems is not already known, to learn and develop as needed for the post. Take responsibility for relevant IT projects working closely with the parties that are involved Take responsibility for the design and implementation of efficient systems in the Practice and maximise the use of our modern telephone system, website and patient communication tools such as online consultations and texts. Develop IT and information governance policies relating to data protection, online and electronic services. Take responsibility for the compliance and submission of the annual Information Governance Toolkit. Attend and represent the Practice at relevant meetings and training events. Participate collaboratively with other Practices, IT colleagues and health and social care teams. Make recommendations relating to innovative ways of working, changing services, regulation updates, continuous learning and more. Ensure that the areas of responsibility are safe and within legal and national regulations to include GDPR data protection regulations and Care Quality Commission compliance. Assist Practices and participate in inspections and audit when required. Monitor and action the Midway generic emails Work closely with the clinical team providing computer searches and data to meet its service delivery requirements and changing care pathways. Support the recall systems, clinical testing and invitations for appropriate clinical needs as per Practice protocols. Some flexibility with hours will be needed particularly for meetings and training. Other duties as deemed reasonable for this role.
