Role: Recruitment Officer
Contract: Full Time – 5-months Maternity Cover (pending the return of the current postholder)
Hours: Monday - Friday core hours 9am-5pm
Location: Head Office, Pearce House, Eccles, M30
Salary: £26,499 - £29,099 per annum (dependant on experience and qualifications).

About the role:
This role plays an integral part within the Human Resources and Recruitment team. This is a key role in supporting the Human Resources Manager in managing every aspect of the ‘employment life cycle’ at Halliwell as well as providing administrative support to all departments across Halliwell.
The post holder will work collaboratively with the existing Recruitment Officers and support with the overseeing of the recruitment process for the company’s homes, schools and head office.
Recruitment Officer Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* To work collaboratively and gain expert credibility at all levels across Halliwell creating an environment thriving on innovation and change to maximise organisational performance.
* Work closely with the existing Recruitment Officers and support the delivery of the entire recruitment cycle process from start to end across all Halliwell sites.
* Develop and amend the company’s job descriptions where needed and reviewing them with the Recruitment Coordinator with hiring managers.
* Draft adverts and place them on all online, external/internal job boards building preferred supplier lists, shortlisting, interviewing, managing the offer and completing associated administrative tasks.
* Responsible for sourcing high calibre candidates, through social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook and any other professional platform to support the headcount within the organisational structure.
* Develop creative sourcing techniques to expand talent pool for the roles that the company recruit for.
* Initiate various recruitment channels such as agencies, job boards, social media etc. considering the recruitment budget to promote the roles that Halliwell advertise.
* Manage and coordinate the selection and assessment processes including cv sifts, ensuring all resourcing processes meet legal requirements and are fair, fit and inclusive.
* Work with hiring managers to ensure a smooth, timely and cost-effective recruitment and selection process is adhered to.
* Work with hiring managers to create suitable job descriptions and adverts that are on brand, non-bias, inclusive and ED&I compliant.
* Completing Bi-Weekly staffing calls with hiring managers to ensure staffing levels are maintained throughout.
* Create PO request forms and liaise with service providers to ensure invoices are processed within a timely manner.
* Supporting the recruitment pipeline by proactively registering with local Careers Fairs.
* Carry out all the administrative duties in the recruitment process such as logging application forms/cvs, organising the recruitment spreadsheets, arranging interviews, pre-screening interview tests and distributing interview packs and shortlisting interviewees as well as arranging the panel of interviewers.
* Provide feedback to relevant parties at each stage of the recruitment process, liaising with relevant recruitment agencies.
* Accurate and timely management of documentation and reporting including updating the recruitment spreadsheets.
* Participate / administer in the pre-onboarding process for new employees who join the company for example, prepare contracts, offer letters and pre-employment checks i.e. right to work, qualifications, references and document verification.
* Utilise effectively the appropriate recruiting channels for the roles that are being advertised and ensure that best practice recruitment processes as well as the company’s safer recruitment policy and procedure.
* Support and maintain the operational data of the Single Central Register in line with the Department of Education, Ofsted Regulations and Safer Recruitment processes.
* Undertake specialist and all general HR tasks as and when required.
* Provide various recruitment data/statistics and other management information to the HR manager on a regular basis such as recruitment campaigns, time to hire, candidates’ response per vacancy.
* Provide guidance and support the leavers process by ensuring exit paperwork is completed such on exit interviews, resignation acceptance letters.
* Supporting with the facilitating of the monthly new starter induction cohorts, through provided, collating and uploaded new starter documents, creating employee ID Badges and supporting with the delivery of the HR mini introductions.
* To assist the HR Manager in confidential meetings by providing clear and concise note taking skills.
* Support with new starter payroll information such as uploading new starters to the online HR Systems, completing refer a friend bonus payment and registering with the employee benefit portals (such as Perkbox, Gympass).
* To assist with any other ad hoc duties commensurate to the job role and pay scale, as directed by management.
The successful candidate will have the following Qualifications:
* Valid Right to Work in the UK
* Good standard of GCSE (Level 4-9 English and Maths)
* Holds relevant degree/Diploma in HR or equivalent
* Must hold or willingness to complete CIPD Level 3 qualification
The successful candidate will have the following Experience:
* Experience of working in an HR commercial based environment
* Experience in Recruitment and background checks
* Strong Note Taking and typing skills.
* Stakeholder management in relation to Human resource task and duties
* Understands issues, competitive markets and challenges in the wider business environment in the context. Ability to deliver results which add value to the department and to the company.
