Job Purpose
We have a great opportunity for a Meter Reading Scheduler. You will schedule/jeopardy manage appointed and non-appointed meter reads across the whole of the North West. This will include physical and passive meter reading for Domestic and Non-Household reads and appointment management for off-cycle reads and supply checks.
Job Accountabilities
* Ownership of schedule for all meter reading and related activity both cyclic and off cycle
* Schedule and manage jeopardy for planned and reactive work to ensure all reading activity is undertaken to agreed read windows and off cycle activity including appointments are met
* Manage the schedule in line with the scheduling core principles
* Monitor and manage appointments to ensure GSS failures are avoided and customer satisfaction is achieved
* Liaison with field Team managers to establish a strong working relationship to ensure scheduling and resourcing are optimised to support the efficient delivery
* Identify opportunities to improve performance
* Preserve flexibility across areas
* Maintain a deliverable schedule escalating issues as appropriate to ensure management and customers (internal and external) are informed and scheduled activity is achieved
* Develop an excellent understanding of the Temetra Meter Data Management System and its tools to support scheduling activity
Knowledge and Skills
* Educated to at least GCSE level (including ‘C’ or above passes in English and Mathematics)
* Demonstrate knowledge of regulatory customer service standards
* Demonstrate knowledge of operational planning and management of activities
* Sound knowledge of the escalation process
* Possess knowledge of the relationship between meter reading / estimating / billing areas
* Excellent communication skills, ability to dynamically re-plan in a live environment and communicate changes
* A high degree of social skills for working in a customer orientated environment.
* Previous customer contact experience (face to face, phone or internal customers)
* Develop a high level of competence in the use of Temetra and its scheduling tools
