We’re looking for a Civil Operations Manager to join our team and take a leading role in managing and delivering our civil engineering projects with precision, efficiency, and excellence.
The Role
As Civil Operations Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, leading the safe and timely delivery of our civils projects while ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders, you’ll oversee resources, budgets, and risks to guarantee every project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of our clients.
You’ll also champion health, safety, and environmental practices across all aspects of our operations, supporting our vision to deliver projects responsibly and sustainably.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the full lifecycle of projects, from initial design through to completion.
* Collaborate with internal teams during the early stages of project planning to ensure smooth execution of civils elements.
* Manage and support Site Engineers, Site Managers, and Civil Project Managers.
* Lead on resource planning, financial management, and programme updates.
* Drive compliance with industry standards, contractual obligations, and Green Frog Connect’s policies.
* Investigate and resolve health, safety, and quality incidents, ensuring preventative measures are implemented.
* Promote a culture of collaboration, sustainability, and excellence in project delivery.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking an experienced leader who is ready to hit the ground running and bring strong expertise in civil engineering and project management.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in civil engineering or a similar contracting environment.
* NEBOSH, IOSH, or SMSTS certification.
* GCSEs at Grade C or above (including Maths, English, and Science).
* A thorough understanding of civil design and construction practices.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* APM Project or Programme Management qualification.
* Experience in the utilities or electrical sectors.
* Familiarity with high voltage power systems.
Skills and Attributes:
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
