Principal Teacher - Fair Isle Primary School

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Principal Teacher to join our team at our excellently resourced Fair Isle Primary School
Our beautiful location offers great opportunities for learning and we benefit from an excellently resourced school, at the heart of a caring, supportive community.
Fair Isle Primary School is a non-denominational school located in Fair Isle. It provides ELC (preschool) to Primary 7 education for children from Fair Isle. The structure of the school is 1 ELC class and 1 multi-composite primary class. There are currently 2 pupils in the school and there will be 1 pupil in the nursery shortly. The school is managed by a shared Head Teacher. The current staffing complement is 1 supply teacher, assisted by 1 clerical member of staff, 1 supervisory assistant and instructors to meet school demands. * The grade of this post is Principal Teacher - Job Size 1
* Salary in the advert is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £2,742 per annum
* Permanent Full Time post for 35.0 Hours per Week
* Preferred candidates will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to a formal offer of employment being made
* You must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) prior to starting in post
* A relocation package does not apply to this post
