JOB DESCRIPTION: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: North West England, Lancashire, Blackpool Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £12.90 - £14.00 Per hour Job Duties: 1. Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting. 2. Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans for students. 3. Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students. 4. Support students with their learning activities and personal care needs. 5. Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to meet the educational needs of SEN students. Required Qualifications: - Relevant experience working with children and young people with SEN - Good understanding of SEN strategies and interventions - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - A relevant qualification in education or SEN support Experience: - Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting - Experience supporting students with SEN Knowledge and Skills: - Knowledge of SEN best practises and strategies - Ability to work effectively as part of a team - Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask Preferred Qualifications: - Additional training in SEN support - Certification in first aid or safeguarding Working Conditions: - Work primarily in a classroom setting - May involve physical activities such as assisting students with mobility - Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals - Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
