TPF Recruitment is recruiting for a Part time Assistant Accountant to join a fantastic accountancy practice based near Folkestone. You will be responsible for accounts, tax, bookkeeping and VAT returns for a varied client base across Kent and the South-East. You will carve a key role here, adding value to clients and building relationships, within a growing team and firm.
This very successful firm of chartered accountants, based near Folkestone has developed a strong reputation for delivering quality services, along with building strong relationships with its varied client base. The firm offers a very supportive and team-focused environment, reflected by a very low staff turnover and long-serving staff.
This is a stable, long-term position offering the candidate an opportunity to settle into a well-defined role. The role provides ample exposure to all areas of accounting and bookkeeping and the opportunity to develop your technical skills. The primary focus will be on maintaining a consistent, high-quality level of service for clients.
* Prepare accounts from client records using a variety of software.
* Draft basic tax computations and complete personal tax returns.
* Prepare monthly bookkeeping, management accounts and VAT returns where appropriate.
* Deal with initial queries on accounts and liaise with clients in a professional manner.
* Support the partners with ad hoc project work.
Requirements
* You may be AAT studying, qualified, or qualified by experience.
* You will have anything from 3 - 5 years + experience within a client-facing capacity.
* Experience of software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Kashflow etc. would be advantageous.
* £25,000 - £32,000 FTE dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
* 3 or 4 days a week.
