Job Purpose: Reporting to and liaising with the Shift Manager. Supervising of processes and employees in a busy production cleaning department, ensuring that work areas, machinery and equipment are cleaned to the highest standards and cleaning schedules are met at all times. Main Responsibilities: Take responsibility for all staff employed in the cleaning roles on their shift. Encourage cleaning operatives to meet or exceed cleaning targets to improve cleaning standards and support the delivery of the highest quality of cleaning. Ensure that all cleans meet quality control standards (BRC / Customer specific requirements). Train new cleaners to the company standard and maintain their skills training regularly relating to all work instructions and safe work practices. Manage and monitor material wastage and water usage to a minimum Demonstrate a commitment to Health & Safety by working in a safe manner, role modelling safety behaviours, challenging unsafe practices, rectifying unsafe conditions, and escalating to other team members when support is needed. Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company standards of hygiene and PPE. Work as part of a team, playing an active part in the team and business successes. Engage with the daily challenges and opportunities and work effectively with others to overcome any issues.
