Priority Candidates will be considered in the first instance Wigan Life Centre South College Avenue Wigan WN1 1NJ Salary: Grade 8, 35,235 - 39,513 per annum. 37 hours per week Temporary until March 2027 Your role: As a Careers Adviser for the Aspiring Futures Team, you will be working in a variety of high schools across the borough delivering impartial, independent careers information, advice, and guidance to pupils from Year 9-11. You will be expected to carry out a range of 1:1 guidance interviews, group work sessions, assisting with careers fairs/mock interview days and other requirements as required by a school. You will be expected to carry out tracking of Year 11 pupils. You will be expected to work with our Risk Of NEET Year 11 s across the borough and learners with SEND. About you: You will be qualified to Level 6 in Advice and Guidance. You will be expected to deliver high quality CEIAG interviews and group sessions to young people from Year 7-Year 11. You will be experienced in dealing with young people, motivated and enthusiastic. You will be non-judgemental, and person centred. You need to be good at establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and using your initiative when carrying out your duties. You will be able to demonstrate the behaviours: Being Positive, Being Accountable and Being Courageous. You will be an excellent team worker, able to self-manage and work independently.
