Our client, a prominent player within the defence and security sector, is seeking a Principal Engineer - Systems Engineering (Process, Governance & Maturity) for a contract position based in Barrow, with hybrid working options available. This role is part of the cutting-edge Submarine Solutions division.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Capture and agree technical changes in accordance with company and programme processes.
2. Generate, capture, configure, and control process documentation in line with company standards.
3. Produce design changes and documentation in accordance with company protocols.
4. Ensure engineering lifecycle management (LCM) adherence for all deliverables.
5. Provide relevant input to project LCM activities.
6. Utilise configuration management experience to guide other engineers and supporting members.
Job Requirements:
1. Significant knowledge and expertise in Configuration Management toolsets, processes, and practices within the defence, maritime, or closely related industries.
2. Understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle, with experience in the relevant phase.
3. Knowledge of Systems Engineering methodologies and lifecycles.
4. Experience in a comparable industry sector.
5. Security Clearance requirement: BPSS + SC.
