WHAT TO EXPECT
Product Compliance has the responsibility to ensure that the vehicles engineered and manufactured by JLR are compliant with all global regulatory requirements and safety legislation to allow the sale of our products.
You’ll join the team to ensure the timely progress of investigations, liaising with key investigation owners from around the business to assure timely progression of issues under investigation, driving the investigations to a factually correct and in line with legal and regulated obligations conclusion, and escalating where appropriate.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
* Arrange and coordinate the regular and as needed ad-hoc meetings where investigations are reviewed (presently this is the Product Safety and Compliance Committee - PSCC)
* Prepare and deliver any defect notification letters that are required, as per the company process
* Liaise with market representatives regarding defects and related campaigns
* As appropriate, provide technical assistance on compliance to other departments in JLR
* Maintain a knowledge of existing and developing regulations, and be able to support the business on these matters as they arise
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
* Vehicle development and/or broad overall technical knowledge of vehicle systems related to Powertrain, Chassis, Body and/or Electrical, including awareness of ADAS
* Understanding of JLR Quality Databases, inc iQM
* Evidence of delivering investigations and strong 8D process understanding
* Good verbal and written communication skills to enable communication across all levels of the business and PC literate with a good understanding of all Microsoft Office applications
* Ability to read and understand complex technical information and communicate it reliably
