OLG Recruitment is looking for an HR Business Partner for our client located in Crewe. This is a contract position for 12 months with the potential to go permanent.
As an HR Business Partner, you will be the focal point of HR in countries to resolve HR query escalations, lead employee relations, and advise and support managers in the execution of talent action plans. You will play a critical role in the development and evolution of the business employee experience.
This Position Is Accountable For The Following End Results:
* Responsible for employment-related legal and regulatory compliance within the countries supported, including HR policies, procedures, and processes.
* Manage complex People Operations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement, and redundancy.
* Execute organizational restructuring in line with local legislation and coach and advise managers to resolve cases.
* Conduct investigations for workplace complaints and Integrity Line complaints assigned by Global Asset Protection.
* Provide accurate guidance to employees and managers on HR policy/procedure/process queries.
* Manage with fair and consistent discipline when appropriate, utilizing discretion and consulting with legal as necessary.
Develop core competency in HR tools and programs (Workday, LearnEx, Navex, local time/attendance, etc.). This role requires direct action in the MyHR case management system (Service Now) to log and track issue resolution for escalations received. Provide local input and support to managers on talent-related actions. Consult with HR business partners on strategic insights that flow from business leadership to HR partners and understand the union strategy.
Lead in the administration and completion of union or works council-related activities, including negotiations, grievances, union strategy management, investigations, annual contract maintenance, and compliance. Develop and expedite recommendations to CoEs (Benefits, Diversity & Inclusion, Employee Experience, Learning & Development, etc.) to improve and streamline HR processes based on employee and manager experience.
Be the face of HR to bring the desired employee experience to life by partnering with other HR verticals under OneHR on people practices and process execution.
Requirements And Qualifications:
* A bachelor's degree in human resources management or a related field or equivalent local HR qualifications as appropriate.
* Hands-on experience as an HR Generalist or HR Manager, with a heavy emphasis on People Operations, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution setting.
* Expert knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
* Experience with EEO/harassment investigations and general workplace complaint resolution.
* Experience with conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations.
* Self-confidence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to act independently.
* Strong computer skills required; Workday or other HRIS experience a plus.
* Ability to handle site travel with an expectation that this role will be field-based supporting our sites, plants, and offices.
