So, what does the role of a Team Leader here involve?
This role will be made for you if you love managing and developing a team whilst fostering relationships and offering a comprehensive service to clients to find the right Insurance products to fit their needs. This role will work with commercial and personal lines clients.
The team leader will aim to achieve agreed Company forecasts, plans, targets, and budgets for the development of existing and new customers whilst managing and developing the team to achieve company’s strategic objectives, providing guidance and mentoring as and when required. You will also review, refine, and improve processes and procedures where required. You will need to lead by example and ensure you and your team adhere to Company compliance instructions and protocols.
What you will do
Collaborating with the Broking Manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all the following and more:
* Deliver annual targets, plans and budgets for your respective sales area ensuring accuracy when dealing with new business, renewals, mid-term adjustments, queries, and premium financing arrangements.
* Proactively prospect potential new clients, maintain a high level of customer service, secure renewal business, promote the use of in-house premium finance and handle complaints in line with company and regulatory requirements.
* Monitor personal and team members’ performance against objectives, forecasts, plans, targets, and budgets and provide regular feedback to the Broking Manager.
* Carry out Appraisals and Performance reviews.
* Manage the team on a day-to-day basis including monitoring team members’ holidays and sicknesses, prepare and participate in disciplinary and grievance meetings in conjunction with HR.
* Provide coaching, mentoring, professional advice, and support to the team members when required.
* Ensure you and your team are fully compliant with company and regulatory requirements and carry out regular file audits.
What experience does our Team Leader need?
It’s essential that you have extensive insurance broking experience as you will be offering a complete commercial and personal lines experience to existing customers. It would be advantageous if you have some team leader or people management experience.
You will also need a thorough knowledge of:
* Industrial processes, security requirements, Health & Safety legislation and risk management techniques.
* FCA Regulations for dealing with Commercial and Personal lines Customers.
* FCA Regulations for dealing with Clients Money, Treating Customers Fairly, Complaints regulations and Data Protection Act.
* Credit management procedures.
It would be a bonus if you have any relevant qualifications, although we offer plenty of opportunity to gain these.
