About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support students on a 1:1 and small group basis.
* Implement personalised learning strategies for students that may be distant and hard to engage.
* Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to create an inclusive classroom environment.
* Encourage independence, build confidence, and manage behaviour in a positive and supportive way.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
* Has experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD. We welcome applicants from outside of education with transferable skills such as residential childcare workers or carers.
* Approaches challenges with patience and understanding.
* Is enthusiastic and proactive in helping young learners succeed.
* Can build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Holds a valid DBS check (or is happy to obtain one).
