We are seeking a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant secondary school in Rawtenstall. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering targeted interventions to pupils with challenging behaviour, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to support students with behavioural needs.
* Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and SENCO to implement behaviour management strategies.
* Foster positive relationships and create a supportive, nurturing environment for pupils.
* Monitor and report on students' progress, adapting interventions as necessary.
* Help to maintain a calm and focused learning environment within the classroom.
* Support pupils in developing social and emotional skills to overcome barriers to learning.
Requirements:
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
* Experience working with secondary school-aged children, particularly those with challenging behaviour.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to behaviour management.
* Ability to work collaboratively with staff and engage parents in supporting their children’s progress.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
