Job Purpose: HSB UK & I includes HSB Engineering Insurance Limited (HSBEIL) an insurance firm, HSB Engineering Insurance Services Limited (HSBEISL) an engineering firm and MD Group a Managing General Agent along with subsidiaries providing various services including surveying. HSBEIL operates in a regulated industry, with the PRA and FCA being its principal regulators in the UK.To assist in the preparation and reporting of high-quality financial information, including undertaking and actively managing various key month end processes, providing financial analysis and providing support to projects as required. Key Responsibilities: Contribution to the month and quarter close process in line with company policies and timetables, example responsibilities include: o lease accounting, o fixed assets, o intercompany postings/reconciliation, o payroll postings and allocation of costs. Ownership of Balance sheet Accounts ensuring understanding and control of balances. Cash flow reporting and forecasting Management of banking and investments in line with company guidelines. Provide Financial support and respond to ad-hoc requests from key stakeholders across the HSB and Munich Re group Represent finance on various projects relating to both the team and wider business. Adhering to robust and compliant accounting processes to ensure accurate reporting of both the P&L and Balance sheet. Commitment to personal development in order to meet both current and future requirements of the business.
