Description
The On-Site Waste Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the efficient management of various types of waste materials generated on a daily basis .This includes cardboard, paper, wood, metal, non-metal, and chemical waste. This role requires a combination of hands-on physical work and administrative tasks. Candidate must be proficient in using PowerPoint, Excel and Word software and be comfortable using / learning other computer applications as required. This role is based on customer site in Prestwick.
Key Responsibilities
* Sort, categorize, and properly dispose of different types of waste materials according to regulations.
* Operate a forklift to transport and handle large quantities of waste efficiently.
* Co-ordinate with Enva waste collection services to schedule pickups and ensure timely disposal of waste materials.
* Monitor waste storage areas to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
* Maintain accurate records of waste inventory, disposal activities, and related documentation.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for waste management inquiries and issues.
* Assist in the development and implementation of waste reduction and recycling initiatives.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while handling and disposing of waste materials.
* Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with waste management regulations.
* Submit waste accurate waste reports in a timely manner for presenting to the customer.
* Pro-active approach on the customer’s site in increasing recycling rates and communicating where required any changes / improvements.
* Communicate with the Account Managers (Hazardous & Non – Hazardous), any potential areas of concern, potentially provide suitable resolutions and implement to the satisfaction of the customer.
