Position: Carton Gluing Operative
Location: Dartford
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00
Salary: £30k+ DOE
Purpose of a Carton Gluing Operative:
To ensure targets and deadlines are met to achieve the smooth running of production.
Key Responsibilities of a Carton Gluing Operative:
1. Ensure the output of the processes with regard to speed and quality.
2. Products are manufactured to the specification required.
3. Leading and developing your crew to be successful in their individual roles.
4. BRC standards are maintained.
5. All paperwork is completed.
6. Health and safety procedures are adhered to.
7. Ensure all preventative maintenance targets are achieved.
8. Attend appropriate meetings as required.
9. Work with the Production and Shift Managers and other colleagues to address issues on the lines.
10. Train colleagues as required to fulfil the business needs.
11. Encourage knowledge flow between colleagues.
12. Attend meetings, provide input where required, and action outcomes.
13. Knowledge of the machines to understand if and when issues arise.
14. Find results to assist with issues that may arise on the machines or with specific jobs.
15. Resolve issues and keep a record for future reference.
16. Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask.
17. Strong interpersonal, motivational and communication skills.
Skills and Requirements for a Carton Gluing Operative:
1. Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask.

3. Strong understanding of the glue process.
4. Good understanding of quality standards.
5. Ability to work with minimal supervision, meet deadlines, and handle a wide variety of responsibilities.
6. Treat all internal and external customers with kindness, dignity, and respect.
7. Has undertaken in-house induction.
8. Completes compulsory training in approved timescales.
9. Demonstrates satisfactory working relationships and shows respect for colleagues.
10. Maintains an acceptable work rate and completes duties in a timely way.
11. Works additional hours, if required, in order to discharge the company's obligations to its customers.
12. Has good attendance and timekeeping.
13. Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
14. Straight Line, Crashlock 4 Corner and 6 Corner experience.
15. Bobst experience preferable.
16. Nester/Tray Former experience or desire to train on.
17. Technical Certification in printing processes.
18. Previous flexographic printing or gluing experience.
19. Must have working knowledge of the use of a PC and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
