Location: Aston, Birmingham (B6)
Pay: £390 - £430 per week, take home pay
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Start Date: April 2025
Hours: Monday to Friday, term time only
Are you a calm, resilient and committed Learning Mentor looking for a rewarding role?
A supportive mainstream primary school in Aston (B6) is seeking a full-time Learning Mentor to join their in-school resource base from April 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with additional needs, both in the resource base and within the mainstream classroom. You'll work closely with the SEND team to run targeted interventions, provide 1:1 or small group support, and help children build confidence and achieve personal goals.
Your role will include:
- Supporting pupils in the resource base with tailored activities
- Delivering interventions outside of the classroom
- Supporting integration into the mainstream classroom
- Building positive, consistent relationships with pupils
- Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour, and communication
- Working alongside teachers and SENCO to track progress
What we're looking for:
- Experience working with children with additional needs (SEMH, ASD, SLCN)
- Confident supporting small group and 1:1 interventions
- A nurturing, flexible and firm approach
- Full-time availability from April 2025
