Company: Our client is a well established thriving Scottish business with a portfolio of accounts spread across Scotland and the North of England. With ambitions to double the size of the business they are tracking to achieve this over the next 3-5yrs. In support of these ambitions they are looking to appoint a Key Account Manager who will be entrepreneurial in approach and who has a similar level of ambition and determination. Role Purpose: The Key Account Manager is responsible for the profitable growth of the sales across their larger more complex accounts. Role Accountabilities: Manage and develop the account portfolio to agreed targets Conduct regular business reviews with key personnel in each customer Provide regular updates on trading performance and sales targets to the Commercial Manager Provide regular updates to the Commercial Manager on market dynamics Analyse sales data to identify opportunities to increase the share of spend in each customer Analyse sales data to identify changes in order patterns and create plans to address any decline Maintain and regularly update a pipeline of new business opportunities Work closely with the customer service team to ensure customer service levels and retention are high Work to agreed company operating procedures Always display the company core values of Passion, Innovation and Care Knowledge and Skills Required: A strong understanding of the manufacturing sector Experience in managing complex accounts Commercial awareness, understanding of a more technical environment would be helpful Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word Personal Attributes: Ability to plan their own day to day work schedule Excellent communication and presentation skills Willing to embrace change Proactive problem solver Ability to multi- task, prioritise and manage time effectively Ability to work as part of a team Would enjoy working in an entrepreneurial business with a high level of autonomy Package and Benefits: Attractive Salary Annual Bonus Company Car Allowance Pension, salary sacrifice 3 x Life Assurance plus additional benefits
