TQR are excited to be working with a Childrens home in Newton Abbot, overseeing the recruitment for their Registered Manager role. Our client offers homes for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties from the ages of 7-18 years old. The client provides small homes for either one or two young people helping to provide intensive and individualised care. They focus on providing young people with nurture, structure, routine and consistently with a therapeutic approach to behaviour management. Youll be responsible for shaping and maintaining a safe, nurturing, and structured environment while managing and developing a high-performing team. Youll be a strong, child-focused leader who understands how trauma impacts young people and can look beyond behaviours which challenge to address the root causes. Youll be dedicated to achieving outstanding outcomes for our young people, while also ensuring staff support, engagement, and development.
The successful candidate will need to be approved by the appropriate statutory body. This will require full OFSTED registration in accordance with their respective conditions and timescales.

Requirements:
Level 3 in Residential Childcare or Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) Essential
Minimum of 2 years experience working with young people in the last 5 years Essential
At least 1 years supervisory experience (including Deputy Manager roles) Essential
Strong knowledge of Childrens Homes Regulations & Safeguarding Practices
Full UK Driving Licence with business insurance
