Working with the palliative/ end-of-life multidisciplinary teams within the hospice to provide a coordinated and comprehensive service to patients, their families and carers. This will be achieved through the provision of specialist palliative care interventions based on a comprehensive patient-centred assessment, agreement of goal-focused care planning, education and support to patients, families and carers. Hours: 32.5 hours a week Salary: £24,700 pro-rata, based on 32. 5 hours a week FTE Salary £28,500 based on 37.5 hours. Plus our Shift Allowance Scheme, which includes enhanced rates for weekend and bank holiday shifts. About the Role We have an exciting opportunity to join our In-Patient Unit team as a Qualified Nursing Associate with a passion for palliative care. With the support and direction of the Registered Nurse, this person will be responsible for providing holistic nursing care to our patients and to act as a role model and mentor to colleagues and patient care volunteers. Essential Criteria for the Role Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC Register Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification Understands and acts in line with NMC professional standards for practice contained within The Code. Understand requirements for NMC professional revalidation Understand the importance of following procedures and treatment plans. Experience working in a palliative care setting Ability to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, carers and all members of the multi-disciplinary team. Experience of providing and receiving complex, sensitive information. Knowledge of the key CQC standards About our Team Colleagues on the Inpatient Unit consist of a multi- disciplinary team which includes nurses, healthcare assistants, nursing associates, clinical administrators, doctors, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, housekeeping and volunteers. This team works with the wider Hospice MDT to provide person-centered, holistic care and support for patients and their loved ones.
