This is an opportunity for talented researchers in experimental condensed matter physics to create and study physical properties of two-dimensional materials, their heterostructures, and devices based on such materials. We seek an experimentalist with an active interest and excellent track record of publications in physics of low-dimensional materials. The post is available immediately for up to 24 months. It is based at the Department of Physics and Astronomy and the National Graphene Institute (NGI), a world-class science and technology centre with a broad scope of research in two-dimensional materials. The post will focus on a number of projects investigating the fundamental properties and technological applications of 2D materials and their van der Waals assemblies. You will hold, or be about to obtain, a PhD (or equivalent) in condensed matter physics. You will have experience in clean-room techniques including electron-beam lithography and should also be well-organised and self-motivated with excellent communication skills. A strong publication record in internationally peer reviewed journals is essential.
