This is a full-time role with a permanent contract, where you will have the opportunity to support children with a range of special educational needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and communication challenges. In this role, you will work closely with a dedicated team to deliver personalised lessons and learning experiences, designed to empower and engage students. Small class sizes and high staff-to-student ratios will allow you to focus on each student’s individual needs, helping them achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver tailored lessons for students with SEND. Collaborate with support staff to create an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment. Assess and monitor student progress, adapting your teaching as needed. Provide targeted support to students with autism and other learning challenges. Engage with parents, carers, and external professionals to provide a holistic approach to student development. Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment. Contribute to the school’s broader initiatives for student well-being and achievement. Qualifications and Experience: Experience teaching SEND students is desirable but not essential. A strong understanding of SEND teaching methods. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff. A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS). A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
