We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a team at an SEMH school on a temp-to-perm basis, with an immediate start. Position: Teaching Assistant Location: SEMH School, Liverpool Contract: Temp to Perm, Full-time, Immediate Start Key Responsibilities: Provide targeted support to students with SEMH needs, helping them to manage their emotions and behaviour. Assist teaching staff in delivering engaging and supportive lessons. Develop strong, trusting relationships with students to help break down barriers to learning. Implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote a positive learning environment. Support students in both academic progress and emotional development. Ideal Candidate: Resilience and patience in managing challenging behaviour. Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm and effective in difficult situations. A natural empathy for working with children who have experienced difficulties in mainstream education. Reliable and able to build rapport with both students and staff. Experience working with SEMH students or in a similar environment is desirable, but not essential. Requirements: Experience in a school or educational setting, preferably with SEMH or SEN students. A calm, positive attitude with the ability to adapt to the needs of each student. A genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of young people.
