Support Workers - Residential Setting (Permanent, Full-Time) Location: Holywood Salary: £24,126 - £24,917 per annum Hours: 38 hours per week on a rota basis including evenings and weekends Contract Type: Permanent Enhancements: 15% unsocial hours uplift for weekends About the Role: Staffline Recruitment Ireland is working on behalf of a leading residential care provider based on beautiful, therapeutic grounds in Holywood. We are currently recruiting Support Workers to join their close-knit team in providing outstanding care to adults with complex needs, including autism and learning disabilities. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Deliver individualised support programmes promoting independence, wellbeing, and choice Provide personal care where required and assist in domestic and meal preparation tasks Support residents in household, workshop, and wider community settings Respond appropriately to challenging behaviours, including physical intervention as a last resort Record and monitor resident progress and contribute to care plan reviews Participate in housekeeping, health and safety, and first aid duties Uphold resident dignity, privacy, and safety at all times Administer and manage medication according to organisational policy Actively contribute to a family-like, community-based environment Work flexibly across a rota that includes weekends and unsocial hours Essential Criteria: At least six months' experience in a caring role (paid or voluntary) QCF Level 2 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care This may be waived if the applicant has at least one year's relevant experience Basic numeracy and literacy skills Registered or eligible for registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) Willingness and flexibility to work a rota including weekends and evenings At least five years' continuous UK-based work/living history What You Will Receive: Starting with 20 days annual leave (pro rata) plus 12 statutory days Annual incremental salary uplifts on a 4-point scale Enhanced pay for weekend and waking night shifts Organisational pension and occupational sick pay scheme (subject to eligibility) Free on-site parking Optional enrolment in Benenden Health Supportive, team-based environment with regular training and development opportunities Death in service benefit (2x salary) Reimbursement of professional registration fees (e.g., NISCC) How to Apply: If you're passionate about supporting others and want to work in a calm, community-focused environment, we'd love to hear from you.
