Description
As Disturbia continues to grow, the need has arisen to hire a Buying Admin Assistant to join our Buying Team. This is a supportive role to the buying team, directly supporting the wider buying team and partnering with our existing BAAs. This is a great entry-level position for anyone interested in entering the buying industry in a fast-growing fashion brand.
Key Responsibilities
1. Raising and amending Purchase Orders (POs).
2. Create PO overviews to share with the wider business.
3. Sample Management – ensuring all samples are organised for fits, sign-off meetings, rack-ups, and photo shoot campaigns.
4. Critical path management, working with the Tech team and supporting the buying team. Ensure key dates are met, chasing up any issues with suppliers and making the buying team aware of any potential delays. Ensure fit samples are received in line with the critical path and fitted on time. Manage library of lab dips and strike offs.
5. Ensure key information is entered on Centric for visibility across the teams.
6. Working daily with overseas suppliers and building strong trustworthy relationships.
7. Assist with preparing product for sign-off meetings.
8. Ensuring smooth running of the department and assisting the buying team with day-to-day administrative tasks.
9. Market Analysis support - undertaking weekly comparative shopping/benchmarking reports.
10. Other ad hoc duties as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
1. A degree in fashion or past experience in a fashion environment.
2. Excellent knowledge of the fashion industry.
3. Strong, clear, and competent communication skills.
4. High level of competency with reporting platforms and spreadsheets.
5. Confidence, self-motivation, and tenacity are essential.
6. Highly organised.
7. The ability to prioritise.
8. Meticulous attention to detail.
9. Good time management skills.
