We are seeking dedicated and resilient Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join a specialist SEMH school in Southampton.\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nAs an LSA, you will play a vital role in supporting students with SEMH needs, helping them to engage with learning, build confidence, and develop essential life skills. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nProvide one-to-one and small-group support to students with SEMH needs.\nAssist in the delivery of tailored learning activities, adapting resources to meet individual needs.\nSupport students in managing their emotions and behaviour, using de-escalation techniques where necessary.\nFoster positive relationships and encourage engagement with learning.\nWork collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to implement individual learning plans.\nPromote social and emotional development through structured interventions and activities.\n\nRequirements:\n\nExperience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural challenges (desirable but not essential).\nA patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting students.\nStrong communication and teamwork skills.\nA willingness to learn and adapt to different needs and strategies.\nEnhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).If you are passionate about supporting students with SEMH needs and want to be part of a dedicated and dynamic team, we would love to hear from you!\n\nApply now to start your rewarding journey in education!\n\nTimePlan Education are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people and expect all staff to show this commitment.
