Print Operator
This role involves collecting and processing work sent down from the repro/print department, ensuring that the work is sized correctly, and applying the appropriate correction curve as per job requirements. The Print Operator will maintain and process work according to the production schedule and notify the supervisor/manager when major issues are encountered. Additionally, problem-solving minor issues to ensure smooth workflow through the department is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collect and process work from the repro/print department.
* Ensure correct sizing and application of correction curves as per job requirements.
* Maintain and process work according to production schedules.
* Notify supervisors/managers of major issues.
* Problem-solve minor issues for smooth workflow.
* Operate print machines, guillotines, and folders.
* Maintain machinery according to manufacturer recommendations.
* Keep work area and machinery clean and tidy.
* Select the correct media profile and rip the job to be printed (training provided if needed).
Essential Experience:
* Thorough knowledge of print production practices and processes.
* Experience with Muller/Heidelberg.
* Operational experience in print.
* Demonstrable attention to detail.
* Reliable, trustworthy, and conscientious.
* Flexible and effective team member.
