Job summary The CYP Eating Disorders Team is an award winning, recovery focused, multidisciplinary community team working with under 18's with Anorexia, Bulimia and Binge Eating Disorder. An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Support Worker to work as part of an multi disciplinary team providing support to young people with eating disorders. Main duties of the job The post holder will assist in the assessment and supportive interventions for young people who are assessed as needing a tier 4 service for meal support. The post holder will work across services including Eating Disorder Team, The Home Treatment Team and Forest House Adolescent Unit. The young person will be assessed as to whether they can be safely managed in their own home with intensive input, as part of their care plan, or in some cases may require inpatient admission. Working alongside care coordinators, the post holder will provide clinical interventions such as meal support, cognitive remediation therapy, emotional enhancement therapy, body image work, emotional regulation work and anxiety work. As part of the wider Team the post holder will be responsible for participating and assisting in the delivery of care/services to patients including managing their own caseload of low risk eating disorder patients and those suffering with Binge Eating Disorder as part of The CYP Eating Disorders Team, working under the direct supervision of a registered member of staff.
