Job Title: English and Maths GCSE SEMH Tutor Location: East of England, Essex, Maldon Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour Job Duties: The English and Maths GCSE SEMH Tutor will be responsible for providing individualised and small group tutoring sessions to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The tutor will create tailored lesson plans, deliver engaging and interactive lessons, assess student progress, and provide feedback to both students and parents/guardians. Additionally, the tutor will collaborate with school staff to support student learning and development. Required Qualifications: A relevant teaching qualification Experience working with students with SEMH needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs Education: A degree in Education or related field Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching students with SEMH needs Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of the English and Maths GCSE curriculum Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans Proficient in assessing student progress and providing feedback Preferred Qualifications: Additional qualifications in Special Education Needs (SEN) Experience in working in a school setting Working Conditions: The English and Maths GCSE SEMH Tutor will work in a learners home environment, providing tutoring sessions during school hours.
