An opportunity has arisen for a BIM Technician to join our leading Engineering Consultancy, operating within our Glasgow Office.

In this role, you will work closely with Hoare Lea engineers to deliver projects for our clients. You will be responsible for managing the BIM/Revit processes on projects from scheme design through to tender. You should be comfortable managing and prioritizing your workload to ensure deadlines are met.

The role
You will be working as part of project delivery teams, including engineers & specialists in the Glasgow office to deliver data-rich 3D models & 2D engineering drawings produced using Autodesk Revit.
You will work on a varied portfolio of projects that span a cross-section of sectors with specific local focuses on Healthcare, Schools, Higher Education, Commercial, Residential, and Leisure.
You will be supported by key individuals within the engineering team. In addition, the wider Hoare Lea BIM Community and Digital Engineering Team provide fantastic support.
Key activities and responsibilities;
1. Inputting to and designing in 3D Revit
2. Managing model data and data workflows
3. Help provide coordination and clash detection of entities in the model environment
4. Promote and assist teams in adopting best modelling practices on each project
5. Seek to improve established protocols to ensure we are always developing our workflows
6. Managing input to/from Common Data Environment where the entire design team can access them
7. Enable Engineers to deliver multi-discipline projects using the latest technology and processes
8. Understand and reinforce quality assurance processes to ensure that all client deliverables are fully compliant with standards
9. Be involved in projects beyond the conventional Revit environment, such as lidar scanning opportunities
10. Link into the central Digital Engineering team, enabling adoption of the latest tools being developed, and be empowered to engage in firm-wide digital initiatives
11. Looking at the latest technologies, taking time to research the latest systems/software ensuring we keep abreast of the best solutions for our clients
12. Support training and development of developing engineers in Revit & Digital tools
What We Are Looking For
With an understanding of Revit software and a basic understanding of the building services industry, you will be self-motivated, eager to learn, and will be highly organised, with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach.

14. A collaborative, creative, and driven individual willing to learn, develop and contribute.
15. Comfortable managing and prioritising the workload given to you to ensure deadlines are met.

18. Dynamo programming knowledge, or interest in developing this skill set
